The Minister of Higher Education receives the Egyptian ambassador and confirms the readiness of Iraqi universities to offer scholarships to foreign students.

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, received the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Iraq, Mr. Walid Muhammad Ismail, and they have discussed prospects for scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Aboudi affirmed that Iraqi universities and educational institutions are looking forward to bridging scientific and academic cooperation with Egyptian educational institutions, especially after launching the project of Study in Iraq and initiative for accepting Arab and foreign students in Iraqi universities.

Dr. Al-Aboudi explained the readiness of Iraqi universities to provide scholarships to non-Iraqi students wishing to complete their undergraduate and postgraduate studies in various specializations. On his part, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Walid Muhammad Ismail, welcomed the initiative of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, to accept Arab and foreign students in Iraqi universities, stressing the readiness of the Egyptian side to activate joint programs for the exchange of admission of students in the universities of the two countries.
