<p>         The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala held a joint online meeting with the College of Veterinary Medicine at Ferdowsi University in Mashhad. The meeting was attended by the deans of both colleges and several faculty members, and was held within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two institutions to enhance scientific and academic cooperation.</p>
<p>The meeting discussed mechanisms for implementing the provisions of the memorandum of understanding and expanding areas of scientific partnership to contribute to the development of educational and research programs and the exchange of academic expertise between the two institutions.</p>
<p>The meeting also addressed ways to develop, review, and evaluate curricula to align with modern academic standards and accreditation and quality requirements.</p>
<p>Both sides agreed to continue joint scientific coordination and follow up on preparations for the upcoming international scientific conference. This will enhance the academic and research presence of both colleges and contribute to raising the level of veterinary education and serving the livestock sector at both the local and international levels.</p>
<p>The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Saleh Al-Kaabi, affirmed that this cooperation represents an important step towards academic openness and the exchange of scientific experiences, which will positively impact the development of curricula, scientific research, and the achievement of sustainable development goals in the higher education sector.</p>

<p>        Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Saleh Al-Kaabi, the college organized scientific research discussion sessions for fifth-year students. This initiative reflects the college&#8217;s commitment to enhancing scientific research skills and solidifying the academic approach among its students.</p>
<p>The discussions featured presentations of several scientific research papers covering diverse topics in the field of veterinary medicine. Students presented the results of their studies to specialized scientific committees, which evaluated the research and discussed its scientific and methodological aspects.</p>

<p>      On its first day the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala hosted the plastic arts training course organised by the Student Activities Department at the University Presidency attended by a number of students from the university&#8217;s faculties and with the distinguished participation of students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.</p>
<p>The lecture was presented by Assistant Failk Fathi  head of the Artistic Activities Division in the Student Activities Department, who discussed the basics of drawing and artistic composition and methods of using colours in aesthetic expression with the aim of developing students&#8217; skills and refining their artistic taste in a university environment that encourages creativity.</p>
<p>The event was held under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi who emphasised in his speech that the arts are an important part of a university student&#8217;s personality and contribute to promoting a balance between scientific, cultural and creative aspects.</p>
<p>It is worth mentioning that this course will continue in the coming days in other faculties within the University of Karbala with the aim of expanding participation and exchanging artistic experiences among students from different disciplines.</p>

<p>        The Public Health Department at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Kerbala organised a scientific field visit to the Al-Hafiz feed manufacturing laboratory in Karbala province for postgraduate (Master&#8217;s) students.</p>
<p>The visit was part of the branch&#8217;s practical training programme which aims to enhance students&#8217; practical and theoretical knowledge by giving them a first-hand look at production lines, feed manufacturing stages, quality control mechanisms and laboratory analysis of food ingredients used in animal feed.</p>
<p>Professor Kazim Saleh Kazim explained that these activities contribute to linking theoretical study with practical aspects and providing students with the field skills necessary to understand manufacturing processes and evaluate the quality of animal food products which positively reflects on their research and professional competence.</p>
<p>For his part, the Dean of the College Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, praised the efforts of the Public Health Department in organising scientific visits, emphasising that the college attaches great importance to practical activities for postgraduate students, as they represent a fundamental pillar in the development of scientific research and the integration of theoretical and field education.</p>
<p>He pointed out that the college continues to support scientific and field initiatives that contribute to raising the efficiency of its students and broadening their practical and scientific horizons, in line with the University of Kerbala&#8217;s approach to developing the higher education and scientific research environment and strengthening communication with public and private sector institutions in a manner that serves the academic and community process.</p>

<p>         The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala launched the ‘My School’ initiative under the guidance of the university presidency and the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the supervision of the dean of the faculty Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi, and with the participation of fourth and fifth-year students coinciding with the start of the new academic year.</p>
<p>The initiative which carried the slogan ‘Their joy is our responsibility’ aimed to promote the values of solidarity and social responsibility through a visit to the Kerbala Elementary School for Orphans where school supplies and souvenirs were distributed to the students in a joyful and interactive atmosphere.</p>
<p>The dean of the college emphasised that the initiative is in line with the mission of the Ministry of Higher Education and the vision of the University of Kerbala in supporting different segments of society, noting that the college will continue to launch more volunteer initiatives that promote the values of giving and responsibility among students and contribute to serving the community and creating sustainable development.</p>
<p>The event concluded with an affirmation that the ‘My School’ initiative will be the first step in a series of upcoming initiatives that reflect the humanitarian role of the university as an educational institution and a key partner in building society.</p>

<p>      In a qualitative scientific step that reflects its commitment to raising academic standards the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala organised a distinctive practical activity in the field of anatomy and histology, where postgraduate students carried out a special scientific procedure under the supervision of a group of teaching staff with the aim of preparing high-precision educational anatomical specimens.</p>
<p>This scientific activity was supervised by:<br />• Prof.Dr Hussein Bashar Mahmoud<br />• Ass. Prof.Dr Walaa Fadel Obeid<br />• Ass. Prof.Dr Ghassan Attia Daoud<br />• Ass. Prof.Dr Falah Mahmoud Hamid (Surgery and Anaesthesia)</p>
<p>In his speech the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi said that these specimens will contribute to enhancing practical lectures on anatomy, serving as a scientific resource for both undergraduate and graduate students by linking theoretical knowledge with practical application and refining their academic skills in dealing with anatomical models.</p>
<p>The supervisors emphasised that this achievement represents a qualitative addition to the college&#8217;s educational programmes and embodies its keenness to adopt modern methods in veterinary education thereby enhancing the status of the University of Kerbala as a leading institution in the field of scientific research and the preparation of specialised cadres.</p>

<p>     As part of the fruitful cooperation between the College of Veterinary Medicine , the Veterinary Hospital and private sector companies the summer training students in the Poultry and Fish Diseases and Diseases Branch organised a field visit to Al Mannen Egg Production Company under the supervision of the distinguished Prof. Dr. Latif Ibrahim Kazim and Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul Kazim Hussein.</p>
<p>This visit aims to enhance the practical aspect of the students through direct exposure to modern production methods and management of poultry projects, which contributes to raising their scientific and practical efficiency and preparing them for the labour market.</p>
<p>The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine Assistant Professor Dr Mohammed Asad Al-Kaabi stressed the importance of these field activities which translate the college&#8217;s policy of linking academic and applied aspects to serve the process of higher education and the development of the livestock sector in our dear country.</p>

<p>    In a vivid example of the efficiency of academic and practical preparation, student Mohammed Ali Hussein from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was able to perform a successful surgery to remove a large cancerous tumour from the mouth of a five-year-old cow during his summer internship at the veterinary clinic in Al-Khader district &#8211; Muthanna Governorate.</p>
<p>The operation, which was carried out with the cooperation of the medical staff was characterised by high precision, as the student handled the main surgical aspect professionally and resulted in the removal of a tumour weighing about 2 kg which contributed to significantly improving the animal&#8217;s health condition.</p>
<p>This achievement comes within the framework of the summer training programme supervised by the college&#8217;s training unit and with the direct support of the Deanship of the College of Veterinary Medicine &#8211; Karbala University, where the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asad Al-Kaabi confirmed that these realistic experiences embody the fruits of the practical approach adopted by the college in preparing qualified veterinary cadres capable of transforming theoretical knowledge into field skills that serve the community and the animal sector with high efficiency.</p>

<p>   In a gesture that reflects the spirit of altruism and humanitarian work, the students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Kerbala University donated a blood pressure and sugar measuring device to support the medical services provided to the honoured visitors during the blessed Arbaeen visit in coordination with the Red Crescent Society detachment in the holy province of Kerbala.</p>
<p>The deanship of the college confirmed that this initiative comes within the role of the college in serving the community and promoting the values of cooperation and giving in order to support field efforts to preserve the health and safety of visitors.</p>

<p>The students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Karbala University, under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty Assistant Professor Dr Mohammad Asad Al Kaabi continue to provide their Hussaini services to the honourable visitors during the blessed Arbaeen visit, in addition to their continuous support to the Hussaini processions in a scene that reflects the spirit of altruism and belonging and embodies the mission of the Faculty in serving the community </p>
