This achievement was made possible through fruitful scientific collaboration between the College of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Agriculture, with the participation of Assistant Lecturer Tuqa Sabbar Rahi from the College of Veterinary Medicine. The team was able to register this discovery internationally in the US GenBank (NCBI) and the European Biobank (EBI) under the international code (JBUEZB000000000.1).

This is the first genetic documentation of Iraqi biodiversity in international records, opening new horizons for developing precise control programs that protect livestock from economic losses.
