With the support of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, the Student Activities Division at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Kerbala, in cooperation with the Civil Defense Division at the University Presidency, organized a training course entitled “Safety and Security in the University Environment.” The course was led by a specialized trainer from the Civil Defense Directorate.
The course aimed to raise awareness among participants about how to deal with fires, their causes, and methods of prevention. It also aimed to clarify the correct procedures for handling emergencies to ensure the safety of individuals and facilities.
The course included a practical application session with the participation of students, faculty, and staff. During this session, participants received training on the use of fire extinguishers and direct response to fire incidents, contributing to increased preparedness and promoting a culture of safety within the university campus.
At the conclusion of the course, the Dean honored the instructors in appreciation of their efforts in making the course a success and disseminating a culture of safety and prevention.
