Master thesis in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine discusses the effect of the mutation in the pit-1 gene and it effect on pituitary hormones.

On Thursday, 28/2/2019 at the discussion hall in the college in the presence of a number of staff members and students. The discussion and supervision committee was composed of Prof. Dr. Khazir Khadair, Chairman, Prof. Jassem Mohammed Ahmed, Member, Dr. Salam Mraza Suhail, Member, Dr. Esaf Jabouri, Member, Dr. Haidar Ali Mohammed (Member and Supervisor).

The thesis entitled “Study of the relationship between the Pit-1 gene and the production of milk and some blood components of dairy cows in Kerbala Governorate” was addressed to the student (Afrah Kamel Zabeel Al-Silawi) physiology department . To the effect of the mutation in the pit-1 gene on the pituitary hormones where the mutation caused their low levels as well as linking the effect of these hormones on milk production and quality in dairy cows in the province of Kerbala.

 

The student received excellent  distinction.
