A student of the College of Veterinary Medicine won the ninth place in the Iraqi Universities Short Film Festival

             The student Ali Imad Jalil from the College of Veterinary Medicine / University of Kerbala ranked ninth equally between the University of Karbala for the film (Watani)
and (Indiscretion) from the Central Technical University.
The Director of the Extracurricular Activities Department at the Presidency of the University of Kerbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Ridha Sultan, quoted from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Supervision and Evaluation Authority, stated that the ministerial extracurricular activities announce the final results of the first university short film festival,
The Extracurricular Activities Department in the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research concluded the first university electronic short film festival, with wide participation from 40 governmental universities, private colleges, and student staff of more than 80 students who presented more than 60 short films.
Dr. Ammar Khalil, Director of Extracurricular Activities Department, said that the festival came within the department’s vision and its ambitious plan to make room for talents and creative student energies in the artistic fields, for the purpose of presenting their creative contributions in the field of short films, which simulate the ideas and visions of students and youth and are mainly inspired by the reality of the student environment. .
For his part, Prof. Dr. Firas Ali Hussein Al-Kinani, general coordinator of the festival and a member of the artistic activities committee in the Extracurricular activities department, confirmed that a high-level jury, which included a number of professors and specialists from various Iraqi universities, evaluated the participating works, which exceeded the 60 short films. It was chosen objectively and fairly, and included a number of criteria that must be met in the artistic work, indicating that the festival is the first of its kind, which will be a basic building block to support the talents of university students from the technical side.
