The College of Veterinary Medicine have discussed a master’s thesis on evaluation of reducing role of Aloe Vera against hyperglycemia and hyperlipidemia in male rats exposed to dexamethasone therapy by Amina Mohamed Hamza

The Branch of Physiology, Biochemistry and Pharmacology at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Karbala conducted a master’s thesis discussion that accomplished by the student (Amna Muhammad Hamza) on the topic: (evaluation of reducing role of Aloe Vera against hyperglycemia and hyperlipidemia in male rats exposed to dexamethasone). The discussion conducted on Tuesday 10/25/2022 in the presence of a number of researchers, professors and the students’ families.
The thesis aimed at the manner of side effects treatment of excessive use of dexamethasone, such as high fat content and high blood sugar by using the aloe vera plant. The thesis included measuring sugar, fat, MDA, HSP70, and ACE after exposing rats to an excessive dose of dexamethasone, and then measuring it after giving aloe vera plant and studying its effect.
In addition, the thesis discussed the results reached by the researcher on the necessity of not taking dexamethasone in excessive quantities due to its toxic effects, as well as using the aloe vera herb as a regulating factor of the level of sugar and fats in the blood. The letter was approved with excellence.
