The College of Veterinary Medicine organizes a training course on how to identify unidentified bodies through some tests

Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Wifaq Jubouri Al-Bazi, the Diseases and Poultry and Fish Diseases Branch at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala organized a training course entitled How to identify unidentified bodies through some tests with the participation of a number of specialists and researchers.

The course aims to discuss several axes through which to highlight the most important methods used to identify unidentified bodies, when does the body become unidentified and when is it known? What are the procedures followed and what tests are used to uncover the body?

The first pillar included criminal identification techniques including checking identity cards, the deceased’s private property, fingerprints, footprints, lip marks, teeth, red blood cell enzymes, image matching procedure, facial reconstruction, visual identification, and DNA “fingerprinting”. As part of forensics.

The second axis is scientific techniques, including anthropometry, skin analysis, dental records and genetics, on the individuality of each body. Factors such as body size, weight, skin prints, and blood type act as indicators of identity.
