In collaboration with the Union of Veterinarians & Veterinary Hospital in Kerbala, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala has organized a scientific symposium in which professors, researchers & specialized veterinarians have discussed the causes of hemorrhagic fever, its transmission methods, its symptoms and methods of prevention.
The Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Wefak Jbori Al-bazi
informed the Non Agency that “the seminar discussed hemorrhagic fever, its causes, ways of transmission, its symptoms, methods of prevention & reduction of its spread.
Al-bazi added that “the seminar included two axes, the first one handles the definition of the disease, methods of transmission & prevention and causes & types. The second axis treats the required actions to prevent the disease and avoid emergence along with the role of animals in the transmission of the disease.
The symposium concluded with the need to form a joint committee of the relevant departments to control the pathogens of external parasites and to prevent the phenomenon of random slaughter and its identification within the modern massacres that are subject to veterinary supervision, to prevent random grazing in the city, to organize media campaigns to educate the public about the disease, ways of its transmission and the role of the citizen in reduction of its spread and avoid raising & sheltering animals.
