Within the scientific activitie of branches , the Physiology, Biochemistry and Medicine Branch organized, in cooperation with the Parasitology Branch, a presence training course entitled ((Immediate treatment of the laboratory biohazard ) lectured by Assistant Prof. Dr. Rana Fadel Mousa, Lec. Dr. Rana Abdul Amir Jawad and Assistant lec. Asawer Asaad, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Wifaq Al-Bazi and a number of faculty members were established in the Parasitology Laboratory of the College.
The training course aimed at show how to deal with the risks resulting from the misuse of chemical and biological materials used in the laboratory within the laboratories of research centers and scientific departments in the faculties and to address the problem in this way, thus preserving the safety of the staff working in them, whether they are researchers or students, each according to their field of specialization.
The training course included how to deal with chemical and biological wastes and landfill them to get rid of the effects resulting from infection, gene mutation , chemical poisoning, radiation, and other risks. With some details of dealing with different cases of chemical or biological materials being poured into the laboratory.
