In order to investigate avian flu in Karbala governorate, a joint operating room was formed between the College of Veterinary Medicine, represented by Dr. Rana Abdul-Amir Jawad, and the Veterinary Hospital, represented by its director, Dr. Wissam Abdul-Rasoul Al-Jabri, where an extensive meeting was held with the Director of the General Veterinary Hospital in the governorate. The most important topics discussed in the meeting were the possibility of forming a (joint operations room to investigate the avian flu in the governorate) in accordance with the items listed in the memorandum of understanding for scientific cooperation that was signed between the two parties earlier, where the joint medical team will include the college professors Specialists with a specialized veterinary medical staff from the veterinary hospital and veterinary clinics distributed in the governorate and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Wefaq Jabouri Al-Bazi and the Director of the Veterinary Hospital in Karbala.
It was agreed to prepare a deliberation room on the investigation of bird flu, in partnership with the concerned departments in the governorate (agriculture, environment, health) to be a room to investigate this disease in a theoretical and practical manner with the exchange of practical information and work on developing accurate scientific strategic plans to protect poultry projects in Governorate.
In addition to activating the mechanism of joint work with the veterinary hospital and its veterinary clinics in the holy governorate of Karbala in providing all treatment services for different animals through the advisory clinic in the college, as well as working to strengthen the bonds of joint cooperation between the two parties to improve the reality of the veterinary profession in the governorate in the service of the public interest Through activating the work of joint committees and holding periodic meetings between the two parties.
