Under the sponsorship of the President of Kerbala University, Prof. Bassem Khalil Nayel and supervision of Prof. Wefaq Jubouri Al-Bazi, the Student Activities Division at the College has opened an art exhibition of visual paintings on Monday 7/3/2022.
The exhibition has been opened by Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Najm Abdul-Hussein Najm, with the participation of a number of visual artists and students from and outside the colleges of the Kerbala University.
The exhibition includes a wonderful collection of expressive paintings and handicrafts made by a number of Kerbala city artists and the students of the College, which in turn reflect the students’ cultural and artistic development and intellectual level. Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Najm praised the artworks and the high morale expressed by the participating artists and students.
Al-Bazi mentioned that the aim of this exhibition is to highlight and encourage artistic talents, as well as to increase the students’ self-confidence, confirm their personality and spread the spirit of competition among students. Also, to inform the audience about the various artistic trends and areas of creativity and innovation of the students. Al-Bazi refered that such art exhibition contributes to the development of taste aspects and the ability of the exhibition visitors for analyzing and criticizing the artistic work. In addition, Al-Bazi remarked that it is possible to discover artistic talents in various fields to nurture, develop and refine them, and encourage the artistically distinguished students for continuity, excellence, and creativity.
At the end of the exhibition Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Najm and Al-Bazi presented certificates of appreciation to the participating artists to appreciate their exerted efforts to make such as a successful exhibition, wishing them more creativity in their artwork.
