The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala issued a statement of condemnation against the Turkish bombardment on northern Iraq and stressed the condemnation of these actions. Below is the text of the statement:
“We deplore and condemn the exposure on the tourist resort in Duhok Governorate by Turkish artillery shooting which killed a number of tourists and injured others.
These and other condemned acts of bombing against the cities and villages of Iraqi Kurdistan, as well as violating the sovereignty of Iraq, call for a serious stance to denounce them and to take diplomatic paths to prevent their recurrence.
We offer our condolences to the families of the martyrs, and we pray to God to bestow His mercy on them”.
