In line with the framework of the joint scientific cooperation with the General Veterinary Hospital in the city of holy Karbala and under the guidance of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Al-Bazi, the College of Veterinary Medicine organized a scientific visit for the third stage students to a number of sections in the Veterinary Hospital (laboratory, poultry, outpatient clinic and pharmacy). Throughout the adequate scientific and practical explanation that presented by the veterinarians in the laboratory and outpatient clinic, the third stage students introduced with the provided devices.
In addition, the students informed with work mechanisms of the devices and prepared samples for examination. Moreover, the students got acquainted with the procedures of receiving and diagnosing pathological cases as well as giving them the necessary treatment. The third stage students and the accompanying delegation were received by Dr. Wissam Al-Jabri, Director of the General Veterinary Hospital, and Dr. Amna Al-Khafaji, Assistant Director of the Veterinary Hospital and a number of doctors working in the Veterinary Hospital.
The visit aims to prepare students equipped with science and knowledge, in order to build and refine the student’s personality as a veterinarian, and to provide equal opportunities for all students to participate in field activities.
