The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, has revealed an agreement with the Governor of Holy Karbala, Mr. Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi. The agreed upon agreement sets a joint project to establish a creativity center to attract distinguished students with talents and energies to develop their scientific potential so as to serve the sectors of the state and the goals of sustainable development.
In the presence of the President of the University of Karbala, Dr. Basem Khalil Al-Saidi, and a number of Governorate deputies, the agreed upon agreement debated during a joint press conference. They explained that this important academic project represents a fruit of institutional integration that takes into account development requirements according to the needs of the state sectors and in light of the priorities imposed by the need for qualitative specializations and staffs.
In this context, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, headed a meeting with the University of Karbala Council and explained that the plan and objectives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the mission of its institutions are embodied in developing the scientific research environment and getting advantage from its outputs and employing them according to the society’s needs.
Additionally, Al-Aboudi listened to the proposals and views of the deans of the colleges including Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Applied Medical Sciences, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Engineering, Sciences, Tourism Sciences, Management & Economics, Islamic Sciences, Computer Science, Information Technology, Law, and Education for Pure Sciences, Physical Education & Sports Sciences and Agriculture. He directed the consideration and diagnosis of the scientific case and setting up the appropriate recommendations for it.
