The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, inaugurated the 15th International Conference on Developments in Electronic Systems Engineering, with the presence and participation of international researchers, experts and academics.
In his opening speech and in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Dr. Khaled Batal Negm, a number of official and academic personalities and members of the advanced staff of the Ministry, Al-Aboudi has called for profiting from specialized conferences and contributing to transferring the scientific reception area from the field of consumption to the effectiveness of a serious contribution to building a knowledge society.
Al-Aboudi blessed the convening of the international conference in Iraq and appreciated the successful step taken by the public and private universities in the right path as they hosted and embraced the activities of the fifteenth edition of this conference, which will enhance levels of cooperation and exchange of experiences between the educational and industrial environments in order to produce a safe path for outputs directly related to the results achieved in terms of artificial intelligence, information and communication technologies, new and renewable energy sources, and other important specialized fields.
On this occasion, the Minister of Higher Education revealed the completion of the fourth phase of the electronic platform for applied research supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which amounted to nearly fifty thousand scientific projects aimed at linking all institutions with Iraqi universities and their scientific research centers and providing their development and pioneering fields with university studies which are applicable in various service fields.
The activities of the conference included a number of official speeches by the presidents of the universities including the University of Technology, University of Anbar and the American University. In addition, the professor of artificial intelligence at the University of Liverpool John Morris, Al-Jumaily showed the path of international interaction in artificial intelligence and pointed out the impact of Iraqi researchers on the development of this important specialization. Also, Dr. Salman Al-Rawaf the professor on the Public Health Dept. in the United Kingdom, gave a lecture on the role of universities and modern technologies in developing health systems in the world, while the Assistant President of the University of Technology for Scientific Affairs, the Head of the Conference and a number of his distinguished graduate students presented the importance of the knowledge economy and the employment of graduates and their enrollment in international institutions and companies specialized in artificial intelligence.
The Fifteenth International Conference on Developments in Electronic Systems Engineering, which is jointly organized and hosted by the Universities of Technology, the American University and Anbar, will continue its work for the period (9-12, January, 2023) in the presence and participation of international experts, researchers, academics and representatives of a number of specialized international companies.
