The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, has received the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Baghdad, Mr. Ali Reza Kony and his accompanying delegation. They discussed the development of scientific cooperation paths and cultural exchange between the two countries.
During the meeting and in accordance with the requirements of the mutual interest sought by the two friendly nations, Dr.Al-Aboudi has confirmed the keenness of Iraq and its institutions to develop joint relations between the two neighbouring countries.
In light of the contexts of understanding adopted by both sides, Al-Aboudi has emphasized the importance of scientific and academic coordination, cultural relations between Iraqi and Turkish universities and the development of common scholarship programs.
On his part, Mr. Kony has expressed his thanks to Dr. Al-Aboudi for developing cultural, scientific and academic collaboration, noting at the same time that Turkish side is working to increase scholarships granted to Iraqi students and proceed with joint academic projects between Iraq and Turkey.
