The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Head of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, visited the Energy Commission’s website and met with its general directors. During the inspection tour, he visited a number of sites while chairing a meeting with members of the Diwani Order Committee concerned with removing radioactive contamination. They discussed scientific procedures to cleanse some areas of radioactive waste. In this context, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Head of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, announced the fundamental approval for the establishment of a zero-sum nuclear reactor for scientific research for university students, the liquefaction site in Al-Tuwaitha being free of radioactive contamination, and the end of regulatory restrictions
