Within the framework of its various scientific activities and under the direct patronage, supervision and guidance of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Wifaq Jubouri Al-Bazi, the Continuing Education Division at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala organized a training course entitled (Security and Biosafety in Educational Laboratories) in which Dr. Raed Abdul Mahdi Qasim, Dr. Fateh Odeh Kadhim, Dr. Ali Farid Shaker, Prof. Rana Abdul Amir Jawad, which was held on the physiology laboratory in the college for a period of four days, with the participation of a number of students and specialists.
The training course dealt with identifying the most important laboratory methods used in security and biological safety, how to deal with common pathogens between humans and animals, identifying the risks associated with this, in addition to identifying the most important preventive measures and control controls for materials and devices used in educational laboratories, how to dispose of laboratory waste and preventive measures followed in the application of security and biological safety.
