The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, announced the launch of professional higher diploma programs in anti-corruption related disciplines in cooperation with the Federal Integrity Commission.
This came during the joint ceremony held by the Iraqi Anti-Corruption Academy, where he explained that this path embodies institutional integration with the Federal Integrity Commission, achieves its goals, and enhances the spaces for joint scientific work that diagnoses the phenomena and risks emanating from the corruption environment and provides climates of mutual benefit between the two institutions, which are characterized by a direct qualitative impact on the life of society.
He added that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is continuing and interested in implementing the commitments of the academic institution in developing the fields of joint scientific research, especially academic programs that would produce solutions and perceptions responsible for combating corruption and diagnosing its reservoirs through the discoveries, treatments and approaches provided by the lens of scientific research and specialized studies that contribute directly to promoting the values of integrity and combating corruption hotbeds in light of the requirements of the National Strategy for Integrity and Anti-Corruption.
For his part, the President of the Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, praised the support provided by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and his approval of the launch of higher professional diploma programs in the disciplines related to combating corruption and his keenness to develop areas of partnership and institutional integration, while the Director General of the Iraqi Anti-Corruption Academy, Dr. Mazhar Turki Abdul reviewed the development and training programs and areas of cooperation with Iraqi universities.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research toured the corridors of the Iraqi Anti-Corruption Academy and was briefed on its training environment, while he visited the Department of Education and Public Relations in the Commission of Integrity and stressed that the educational institution looks forward to strengthening this partnership, which would enhance the chances of success and achieve ambition in building the nation and protecting the future of its children from the scourge of corruption and its grave risks.
