The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, honored a number of pioneers, experts and specialists in the field of law on the occasion of the Iraqi Legislation Day.
This came during the celebration organized by the Legal Department, which was held at the College of Law at Al-Nahrain University, where he stressed that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is working with determination to achieve what is required for responsible dealing with laws and their specializations, embodying the culture of legal disciplines and reaching them to the maximum extent of application in all vital and strategic areas of state institutions and developing successful scientific indicators to link outputs with the public and private sectors and meet the community’s need for human rights specialists.
He pointed to the inclusion of law disciplines in the central evaluation exam administered and supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the start of placing law faculties and departments among the disciplines covered by the application of the Bologna process in the coming years.
In his speech, the Minister of Education called for more legislation that takes into account the higher interest of the state and urged universities to activate the powers vested in them by law in order to improve the quality environment and overcome challenges.
