Under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Wifaq Jubouri Al-Bazi, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala organized a joint cooperation between the College and the General Secretariat of the Central Library at the University Presidency for the purpose of classifying new books and allocating numbers to them in the college library.
Work has been done by the staff of the Central Library and the College Library to determine the topic covered by the book and be extracted by extracting the subject headers based on Dewey decimal with the allocation number (author) and extracted from the base (Cutter) for libraries and this is considered the traditional method The other method of indexing is the electronic method and its goal is to unify the indexing process in libraries around the world depending on international websites for indexing
Al-Bazi stated that the Central Library at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is one of the practical and educational pillars and the cultural interface of the college, as it is the main source of information for teachers, researchers and students from books, periodicals, university theses and CDs.
