The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored the winning students in the Ramadan Qur’anic competition held by the College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University.
The competing students competed to recite verses from the Holy Qur’an in front of a specialized committee headed by Dr. Rafi’ Al-Amiri, while the Minister of Education congratulated the winners and participants for their interest and excellence in performance and interaction with the Qur’anic contents in this holy month.
In his speech, he stressed the interest of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in this segment of memorizers of the Holy Qur’an and providing the appropriate climates to care for them at the level of admission to universities and enable them to achieve their scientific and academic ambitions.
The Minister of Education revealed a project for a major national Qur’anic competition, which will be managed by a ministerial committee that will formulate its program and timing, which will provide a map of the details in the environment of Iraqi universities.
The atmosphere of the Ramadan Qur’anic competition concluded with an iftar banquet in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the President of Al-Nahrain University, deans of colleges, students of internal departments, and international students studying in Iraq.
