The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, held a meeting with the Council of the University of Baghdad and urged to stimulate the scientific energies of the teaching staff, employ human potential in the path of teaching quality, develop scientific research and enhance community service.
During the meeting, he called for evaluating and reviewing the achieved goals, completed academic programs and study plans and updating them in accordance with strategic indicators related to improving and improving the educational process and its specialized services.
He reiterated the need to take into account the requirements of global competition in the classification of universities and international publication in containers and measuring the index of educational systems adopted in Iraqi universities based on the developmental requirements related to the labor market and facing challenges.
He stressed the need to strengthen cultural awareness and enable universities and their staff to embody their responsibilities towards society, explaining at the same time that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is working to integrate with the competent sectoral institutions to provide support to teachers and staff on suitable residential lands.
The Minister of Education listened to the proposals and recommendations of the President of the University of Baghdad and the deans regarding development measures and initiatives aimed at caring for students and providing scientific, educational and advisory services to public and private sector institutions.
