The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, stressed that the international recognition granted to Iraq in the field of medical education dates a new stage of sobriety and academic excellence.
This came in his speech during the opening of the second scientific conference of Al-Bayan University, where he said that the success embodied in reaching the international recognition and accreditation granted to Iraq reassures the public opinion that medical education programs are characterized by a level of efficiency based on international education standards, in addition to what this accreditation granted by the World Federation for Medical Education achieves a qualitative leap in the level of cooperation in the field of scientific research and exchange of experiences between our universities and their international counterparts and motivating medical colleges to develop their programs. Educational and research makes the Iraqi certificate in the safe path in terms of international recognition and chronicles a new phase of sobriety and academic excellence.
He added that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is working according to regular steps and integrates with sectoral institutions to achieve development goals and meet their requirements that extend until 2030, take into account variables, adapt to circumstances and overcome them in order to ensure sustainable education, sustainable health, performance of responsibilities towards society, support strategic goals and launch them towards global partnerships.
The conference included a number of speeches by the President of Al-Bayan University and the Parliamentary Education Committee, as well as scientific sessions in the axes of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, health medical technologies and nursing, and honoring distinguished researchers in the axes of dentistry, pharmacy, health and medical technologies and nursing.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, laid the foundation stone for the development and expansion of the university and was briefed on the reality of the medical clinics of the Faculty of Dentistry and the central laboratories.
