The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, met with a group of international students studying in Iraqi universities within the Study in Iraq program.
In his speech, the Minister of Education expressed his welcome to Arab and foreign students coming from different countries of the world, stressing that university education represents an important cultural bridge between countries, noting that the first version of the Study in Iraq program for the year 2024/2023 resulted in the acceptance of one thousand and fifteen students, while more than two thousand students from seventy countries around the world have registered in the second version of the program for the year 2025/2024.
The Minister of Education reviewed to the students aspects of the potential of Iraqi universities and their results achieved in international rankings, their long-standing academic reputation and their qualified professors and researchers, pointing to the keenness of the Ministry and its universities to provide a quality educational environment for all students in order to enable them to obtain what they aspire to.
For their part, the international students expressed their gratitude and thanks to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for providing various study opportunities to enroll in Iraqi universities, praising at the same time the scientific level on which these universities and their specialized colleges are based at the level of primary and postgraduate studies.
