Iraqi universities compete with their counterparts in the Times Rankings 2024

           The Times World Rankings released the results of its edition of Young University Rankings 2024 that are fifty years old or younger, in which six hundred and seventy-three universities around the world participated.

The official ranking website (https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/2024/young-university-rankings#!/length/25/locations/IRQ/sort_by/rank/sort_order/asc/cols/stats) showed nine Iraqi universities: the University of Technology, which came in the competitive ranking (301-350), then Al-Nahrain University (501-600), the University of Qadisiyah (501-600), the University of Anbar (501-600), the University of Babylon (501-600), the University of Diyala (501-600), the Central Technical University (601+), the University of Karbala (601+) and the University of Kufa (601+). Same four universities for the year 2023.

Competing universities are evaluated based on the performance indicators adopted in the THE World University Rankings and in light of the weights given to teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

It is worth noting that Iraq ranked 37th globally in the Times University Rankings for the year 2024 by registering Iraqi universities competing in the ranking, which evaluated 2024 universities from 108 countries around the world.
