Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, received an official request from the Italian Ambassador to Baghdad, Maurizio Grignati, regarding the Italian University project in Iraq.
During the meeting, the Minister of Education listened to a briefing from the Ambassador on the course of the project and its academic specializations that serve the Iraqi environment on the one hand and link a cultural bridge with the Italian Republic on the other.
The Minister of Education stressed his keenness to open reputable foreign universities in Iraq and frame scientific cooperation through sustainable partnerships and memorandums of understanding that support twinning programs and joint study and training opportunities.
For his part, the Italian Ambassador to Iraq, Maurizio Grignati, explained that the proposed Italian university will move towards a specialized approach in the fields of engineering, expressing at the same time his country’s readiness to develop scientific and cultural cooperation through qualitative study programs that are consistent with the indicators of accreditation of Iraqi universities new and advanced educational paths.
