One hundred and twenty-six Iraqi universities and colleges have achieved competitive positions in the Webometrics World Ranking in its second edition for the year 2024.
The results of the classification (www.webometrics.info/en/Asia/Iraq) showed that thirty thousand university institutions around the world competed according to indicators that measure the virtual attendance of universities through their locations, indicating the percentage of clarity (50%), transparency (10%), and the strength and excellence of research (40%).
The current version witnessed the rise of the Iraqi universities index compared to the previous version, where the University of Baghdad came at the top of one hundred and twenty-six universities, followed by the universities of Diyala, Mustansiriya, Mosul, Kufa, Anbar, Middle Euphrates Technology, Qadisiyah and other Iraqi universities.
