College of Veterinary Medicine students trained at the General Veterinary Hospital in the Holy Province of Karbala and its veterinary clinics in Hassaniya, Hindiya and Al-Horr, as well as in the governorates of Babylon and Wasit participated in the national vaccination campaign launched by the Ministry of Agriculture.
The campaign aims to enhance the prevention of infectious diseases in animals, especially field ones, and these campaigns come within the ongoing initiatives and efforts to increase community health awareness by contributing to the protection of livestock in the country from diseases that can be prevented by vaccination.
The students showed great enthusiasm to participate in these campaigns with veterinary staff in addition to their contribution to organizing awareness and education campaigns for citizens and animal breeders against common diseases and their effects on public health and animal production.
The students’ participation included providing logistical and technical support to the veterinary teams, which helped facilitate the conduct of vaccination campaigns and ensure that as many animals as possible receive vaccines.
