The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Karbala University, in cooperation with the Syndicate of Veterinarians / Karbala branch, organized a dialogue seminar entitled (Professional Challenges Facing the Veterinarian and its Role in the Labor Market) with the participation of a group of specialists in the veterinary field and lectured by Dr. Atheer Al-Kadasawi, President of the Veterinarians / Karbala branch and teacher Dr. Ali Farid Shaker, head of the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
The seminar aimed to shed light on the obstacles facing veterinarians in the work environment, focusing on the professional challenges that limit their opportunities in the market, as well as discussing possible solutions to enhance employment opportunities and improve community awareness of the importance of this profession. It also sought to enhance cooperation between academic and trade union institutions to support veterinarians, and to review mechanisms to develop the veterinary labor market through supportive policies and new investment opportunities that contribute to the advancement of the profession.
The seminar witnessed great interaction from the attendees, who raised many questions and suggestions about the future of the veterinary labor market and ways to develop it, reflecting the importance of these issues in supporting and advancing the profession to keep pace with the current challenges.
