The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine congratulates on the anniversary of the birth of Imam Al-Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance).

On the night of the half of Sha’ban, the earth was illuminated by the light of the Awaited Imam (may Allah hasten his reappearance), as the holy city of Karbala witnessed millions of visitors commemorating this blessed occasion.

As part of its community role, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala continues to provide veterinary support and services during the Sha’ban visit, under the direct supervision of the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad As’ad Al-Kaabi, to maintain public health and the safety of the meat used in service processions.

The field activities included the deployment of mobile veterinary teams in various areas of the city to provide treatment and prevention, in addition to awareness and guidance campaigns on healthy slaughter and food safety, as well as coordination with relevant authorities to inspect animals intended for slaughter and ensure the meat’s suitability for human consumption.

The college also equipped a mobile veterinary clinic to provide first aid for animals, alongside distributing water, juices, and meals for visitors in several areas.

The College of Veterinary Medicine reaffirms its continuous commitment to serving the community and visitors during major religious occasions, wishing everyone a safe and healthy visit.

Happy New Year to you on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance), may Allah return it to us and you with security and faith.
