The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Karbala University has achieved a prestigious academic achievement by obtaining the first place at the level of colleges and departments of veterinary medicine in Iraqi universities within the results of the Iraqi classification of scientific departments for the year 2024 announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Saleh Al-Kaabi, Dean of the College, received a certificate of excellence from the Ministry’s Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority in recognition of the College’s excellence and in appreciation of its pioneering role in developing education and scientific research in the field of veterinary medicine.
This achievement is the fruit of continuous efforts exerted by the deanship of the college, faculty members, researchers and students, as the evaluation came within a comprehensive framework conducted by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Agency that included (2072) scientific departments in more than (100) public and private universities and colleges and relied on accurate criteria
The Ministry noted that the Iraqi ranking represents an effective tool to stimulate scientific competition between academic institutions and enhance the quality of higher education to achieve excellence and leadership locally and internationally.
For his part, Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi expressed his pride in this coronation, stressing that it is evidence of the correct scientific path followed by the college and a strong motivation to continue the march towards more achievements that serve the veterinary education sector in Iraq.
