The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Abboudi, announced a letter of thanks and appreciation from the Prime Minister to Iraqi academics, while he extended his thanks and appreciation to all members of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its formations on the occasion of Iraqi Academic Day.
The Minister of Education honored the families of martyrs and the wounded, university presidents, representatives of the Iraqi Academics Union, and a number of distinguished researchers.
In his speech on behalf of Prime Minister Mohammed Shi’a Al-Sudani in the presence of a crowd of academics and parliamentary figures, he stressed that attention to development was and remains the cornerstone of academic performance, pointing out that two and a half years of work in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research indicates a rich experience with evidence and achievements, including the establishment of the Scientific Research Commission, internationalization of education, linking academic programs to global changes, securing the path of the Iraqi certificate and the rise of the Iraqi scientific research index in hospitals and attracting more than three thousand international students in Iraqi universities.
For his part, the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, Dr. Ali Masir, praised the care and attention shown by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Abboudi, in managing the education sector and its universities and achieving the highest positive level of outstanding academic performance for Iraqi university institutions in the environment of international rankings and surveys.
