Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Karbala University, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Asad Al-Kaabi, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at the University Presidency, organized a series of specialized activities within the Industrial Advisory Council Development Program, which is part of the government program for the academic year 2024-2025.
The activities included an advanced scientific training course entitled: “How PCR works”, presented by

– Assistant Instructor Fatima Mohamed Ali
The course aimed to introduce the participants to the principle of PCR, which is one of the most important modern techniques in molecular biology, and is used in DNA replication for diagnostic and research purposes. The course covered the operation of the device, the basic components of the reaction such as the template, primers and enzymes, in addition to how to read and analyze the results accurately, while reviewing the most prominent applications of this technology in the medical and veterinary fields, and the molecular diagnosis of diseases.
In the same context, a workshop entitled: “Correct Methods in Official Correspondence” was organized by teacher Zaid Wafaq Shaker, which focused on using Arabic language skills and accurate administrative terminology in editing official books and dealing with correspondence and correspondence within the official contexts followed in government departments.
The workshop addressed the most important linguistic and spelling errors common in the preparation of official books and how to correct them, in addition to clarifying the correct numbering mechanisms and writing numbers in a sound and clear language, with the aim of producing accurate and clear correspondence in terms of purpose and content, away from individual diligence in drafting.
For his part, the Dean of the College, Dr. Muhammad Asad Al-Kaabi, stressed that these activities represent an important step in activating the Industrial Advisory Council on the one hand, and enhancing the capabilities of students and teaching staff on the other, which contributes to linking theoretical aspects with practical application, and raises the professional and scientific level of educational cadres and students alike.
