The Summer Training Unit, in cooperation with the Scientific Affairs Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Karbala University, held an extensive seminar on the mechanism of summer training for fourth stage students as part of the college’s preparations to activate the practical side of the curriculum.
The seminar aimed to clarify the stages of implementing summer training and its importance in enhancing students’ practical skills and linking theoretical information with field applications in veterinary hospitals and dispensaries in Karbala governorate and a number of other governorates.
The discussion included a detailed explanation provided by the head of the Summer Training Unit, in which she reviewed the objectives of the program, the mechanism for distributing students and special administrative instructions, as well as the requirements for reports and evaluations that should be submitted after the end of the training period.
The seminar also focused on the need to select effective training sites and the importance of follow-up and continuous scientific supervision during the training period in order to ensure the achievement of educational outputs that meet the requirements of the veterinary labor market.
At the end of the seminar, it was emphasized to adhere to the set timings of the training and encourage students to make the most of this experience, in addition to receiving suggestions that contribute to the development of the summer training mechanism in the future.
