A workshop at the College of Veterinary Medicine to promote a culture of participation in decision-making

            As part of the implementation of the National Strategy for Education and Higher Education 2022–2031, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Karbala, under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi, organized a workshop entitled “Promoting a Culture of Participation in the Decision-Making Process.” Lecturer Dr. Ali Farid Shaker presented the workshop.

The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of participation and the spirit of initiative in creating an environment that stimulates creativity and innovation through cooperation and the exchange of ideas among individuals. This contributes to the production of innovative solutions and the achievement of tangible developments in various fields.

The workshop addressed the importance of group interaction in enhancing trust and a sense of shared responsibility, and encouraging individuals to make courageous decisions and take calculated risks. This positively impacts the success of projects, whether small or large, in the fields of work, education, and society.

The workshop addressed several key topics, most notably: defining creativity and the spirit of initiative, their arts, and strategies for activating them. It also addressed the challenges facing creative collaboration, presenting practical models for promoting these concepts in workplaces and educational institutions.

The workshop witnessed significant interaction from participants, who praised its content and the college’s commitment to fostering a culture of collaborative leadership within a sophisticated academic environment.
