The College of Veterinary Medicine Organizes a Workshop on Developing Specialized Skills within the National Strategy for Education and Higher Education

                 As part of the implementation of the programs of the National Strategy for Education and Higher Education 2022–2031, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Karbala, under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi, organized a training workshop entitled “Developing Specialized Skills.” Assistant Lecturer Muhammad Jalil Abis presented the workshop.

The workshop aimed to enhance the concepts of leadership and strategic planning in the workplace, given their essential role in achieving organizational success. Leadership is the element of inspiration and defining a vision, while strategic planning represents the practical tool for achieving that vision through setting goals and identifying appropriate means.

The workshop included several main topics, most notably:

Leadership: This topic defined the concept of leadership, its types, and the roles of leaders in the workplace.

Strategic Planning: This topic addressed the concept of strategic planning, its various stages, how to formulate a vision and mission, and set measurable and implementable strategic objectives.

The complementary relationship between leadership and strategic planning was also highlighted, as well as their impact on ensuring business continuity and efficient development.

The workshop witnessed significant interaction from participants and emphasized the importance of enhancing the efficiency of academic and administrative cadres in higher education institutions to keep pace with modern requirements and enhance the quality of institutional performance.
