The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Abboudi, received the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Baghdad, Mr. Cui Wei, and discussed ways to develop scientific and educational partnership between the universities of the two countries.
During the meeting, the Minister of Education stressed the importance of expanding the fields of joint academic cooperation, calling for the establishment of an Iraqi-Chinese university specialized in artificial intelligence and advanced digital technologies, noting at the same time that the ministry is continuing to implement its strategy based on diversifying the sources of knowledge and opening up to leading international experiences in the fields of artificial intelligence and technological innovation.
For his part, the Chinese Ambassador expressed his country’s keenness on joint academic cooperation in the fields of education and technology, and welcomed the move to establish an academic institution specialized in artificial intelligence that contributes to the development of the knowledge structure and serves the goals of sustainable development.
