Today, Thursday, May 15, 2025, the start of applications for graduate studies in Iraq for the academic year 2025–2026.

            Higher education institutions in Iraq are preparing to receive applications for graduate programs (higher diploma, master’s, and doctoral degrees) for the academic year 2025–2026, in accordance with the regulations and instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Research and Development Department / Postgraduate Studies Division.
To facilitate the application process for applicants, we outline below the most important requirements and documents required to complete applications:
First – Personal Documents:
• Unified National ID or Civil Status ID (with emphasis on the necessity of bringing the unified ID later upon acceptance).
• Residence card or proof of residence.
• Ration card.
• Four recent personal photos with a white background.
Second – Academic Documents:
• Graduation certificate or proof of graduation addressed to: University/College/Department of Graduate Studies, which must include:
o Graduation GPA in numbers and words.
o The student’s GPA for the first and second semesters in the science department, for both morning and evening studies.
Third – National Examination Certificates:
• English Language Test Certificate.
• Arabic Language Proficiency Certificate.
• Computer Science Certificate.
Fourth – Contact Information:
• A valid email address and phone number.
Fifth – For employee applicants:
• An official letter of no objection from the department in which the applicant works.
• A letter of exemption from the GPA requirement for the employee (if necessary), in accordance with applicable instructions.
• A service summary including the date of appointment, administrative order, and service details.
• Completion of the required forms included in the application and acceptance instructions.
