Within the framework of cooperation between Iraq and the Netherlands, the Minister of Education sponsors the signing of an academic protocol with the IHE Delft Institute of Water Sciences and emphasizes the exchange of scholarships within the Study in Iraq program.

            The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, sponsored the signing of an academic protocol between the Ministry and the IHE Delft Institute of Water Sciences within the framework of cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The protocol, which was signed at the headquarters of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and comes into effect today, Monday, May 26, 2025, includes strengthening the context of scholarships and cooperation opportunities between the Institute, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, universities, and research centers, and developing joint educational and research programs to address water challenges.

During a press conference on the sidelines of the signing ceremony, in the presence of Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Ms. Janet Alberda, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, emphasized the importance of understanding in the field of mutual scholarships within the Study in Iraq program, capacity building, skills development, training programs, curricula, and academic programs related to water sciences and their specialized fields.

For his part, the Dean of the IHE Delft Institute of Water Sciences, Dr. Eddie Morris, expressed his happiness at signing the joint cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the agreement on student, research, and academic exchange between Iraq and the Netherlands. He emphasized the seriousness of working to ensure the success of the program and the cooperation between the two institutions.
