Based on the College of Veterinary Medicine’s commitment to implementing the objectives of the National Strategy for Education and Higher Education 2022–2031, and its ongoing efforts to develop human capacity and enhance the efficiency of teaching and administrative staff, the College’s Continuing Education Unit organized a training course entitled:
“Developing Administrative and Financial Skills – Management and Financial Analysis.” The course was sponsored and directed by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi.
This course was organized as part of a series of specialized activities aimed at enhancing the efficiency of staff working in various fields, including administrative and financial aspects. This will contribute to developing institutional performance and achieving the highest standards of quality and accreditation.
The course aimed to provide participants with knowledge of financial management concepts and modern financial analysis methods. It covered several topics, the most prominent of which were: understanding the basic principles of financial management, preparing budgets, and how to plan properly financially, as well as distinguishing between investment and financing decisions and supporting them with analytical data, leading to the acquisition of skills. A process of analyzing and interpreting financial data to support administrative decision-making.
The training course, delivered by Asst. Mohammed Jalil Abis, was presented in a scientific and practical manner, combining theory and practice, with simulations of administrative and financial decisions faced by employees in educational institutions.
A number of college staff and instructors who were nominated for the 2022-2031 Education and Higher Education Strategy programs participated in the training course. They expressed their high appreciation for the useful information and modern methods included in the course, emphasizing the importance of this type of training program in supporting their professional competencies and developing their performance.
The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, emphasized the importance of investing in human resource development, noting that effective management and accurate financial analysis are the cornerstones of improving institutional performance and achieving sustainable development in the higher education sector. He also commended the efforts of the Continuing Education Unit and all those involved in the course, emphasizing the college’s continued implementation of quality and integrated training programs.
It is worth noting that the College of Veterinary Medicine continues its efforts to provide an advanced educational and training environment that keeps pace with challenges and supports the national vision for developing the educational process.
