The College of Veterinary Medicine – University of Karbala announces the publication of its first scientific issue of the Karbala Journal of Veterinary Medical Sciences (KJVMS).

In a qualitative scientific step aimed at consolidating the foundations of academic research and expanding the horizons of scientific publishing, the College of Veterinary Medicine announced the publication of the first issue of the Karbala Journal of Veterinary Medical Sciences.
This step comes within the framework of the college’s efforts to promote scientific research and provide an academic platform for researchers and students to exchange knowledge and publish their research results locally and internationally. The issue includes a variety of research papers that address recent topics in the fields of animal diseases, preventive medicine, veterinary surgery, basic sciences, and other veterinary medical sciences. The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi, said, “We are proud to launch this issue of the KJVMS Journal, which represents the fruit of the efforts of the college’s faculty and researchers.” He added, “We seek to make the journal an accredited scientific platform that contributes to supporting scientific research inside and outside Iraq, as it embodies the college’s vision of supporting the scientific research process and providing an official platform for researchers from inside and outside Iraq to exchange ideas and document scientific achievements.” He pointed out that the journal aims to shed light on the veterinary challenges facing the agricultural and health sectors, with a focus on linking theoretical research with practical applications that contribute to improving the veterinary situation in Iraq.

It is worth noting that the journal has obtained the International Standard Number (ISSN: 3080-1540) and has been officially registered with the Iraqi National Library and Archives under the number (No. D.L.A.B. 2844 for the year 2025). The journal’s editorial board invites all researchers and academics in the field of veterinary medicine and related sciences to submit their research through the journal’s official website:
