The Council of the College of Veterinary Medicine held its 13th session to discuss developments in academic and administrative work.

           The Council of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala held its 13th regular session, chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Saleh Al-Kaabi, Dean of the College, and attended by the Council members. The session discussed several issues related to the academic and administrative situation at the College.

The session opened by emphasizing the importance of the Administrative Automation Project (SIS & HR) and the need to begin its implementation this week, given its effective role in improving administrative performance and enhancing the services provided to students and staff.

The Council also discussed the intensive preparations for the competitive examination for admission to postgraduate studies, emphasizing the importance of providing the appropriate environment and necessary requirements to ensure the smooth running of the examination.

In support of the international trend in education, the Council emphasized monitoring the conditions of international students under the “Study in Iraq” initiative and ongoing promotional efforts to attract international students and enhance the image of Iraqi education.

On the other hand, the council discussed mechanisms for opening channels of academic and scientific cooperation with similar colleges inside and outside Iraq, which would contribute to the exchange of expertise and the development of curricula and research.

The honorable dean also addressed the importance of the media in highlighting the university, its activities, and events. The attendees emphasized the need to activate professional media work that highlights the efforts made in educational, research, and community service.
