The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala congratulates the Islamic nation on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir.

On the eighteenth of Dhu al-Hijjah, on the land of Ghadir Khumm, the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), stood to announce to the public what God had commanded him to do: the appointment of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), as the Caliph and Guardian of the Ummah. He said:
“Whoever I am the Master of, then this Ali is his Master. O God, befriend whoever befriends him, be hostile to whoever is hostile to him, support whoever supports him, and forsake whoever forsakes him.” May this great day be the day of the completion of religion and the consummation of blessings, and may it be immortalized in the memory of Muslims as the greatest of holidays.
On this blessed occasion, the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi, said: “On this great day, Eid al-Ghadir, I am pleased to extend to you my warmest congratulations and blessings. I ask God Almighty to bring it back to us and to you with goodness, blessings, and prosperity, and to keep us and you steadfast on the path of guardianship and truth, the path of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), who was and continues to be a beacon of justice, courage, knowledge, and mercy.” The occasion of Ghadir is not merely a historical event; rather, it is a faith-based and intellectual milestone that reminds us of the values of loyalty, allegiance, and honesty, and a renewal of the pledge to adhere to the principles of truth. At the same time, it is a call to draw inspiration from the life of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in fulfilling responsibilities, serving people, and achieving justice. These are values we seek to instill in our academic institution among our faculty and students alike. On this blessed occasion, I renew my great pride in all the college’s members and students, wishing everyone continued success, academic progress, and steadfastness on the path of guidance and knowledge.

Happy New Year to you all, and may you always be among our loyal and faithful followers.
