The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Iraq, Mr. Muhammad Zeeshan Ahmed, and discussed prospects for scientific and academic cooperation.
During the meeting, the Minister of Education emphasized the importance of developing relations between the two countries’ universities and strengthening effective partnerships, noting that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research adopts a policy of internationalization of education as one of the strategic pillars for consolidating international partnerships.
The two sides discussed the draft Memorandum of Understanding, which includes provisions to enhance institutional cooperation, exchange of expertise, and scholarships that provide opportunities for students and researchers to enroll in specialized academic programs.
For his part, the Pakistani Ambassador expressed his country’s interest in expanding areas of academic cooperation, enhancing communication between universities, and coordinating specific initiatives that contribute to sustainable scientific relations.
