With feelings of pride and gratitude, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala reiterates its support for the wounded heroes of the security forces from the Iraqi Army and the Popular Mobilization Forces, as well as those wounded in terrorist operations, who sacrificed their precious blood for the sake of the homeland, defending its land and dignity in the face of terrorism and the challenges that have befallen the country.
Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, Dean of the College, emphasized that this day embodies the highest meanings of loyalty and gratitude to men who have given their most precious possessions so that we may live in security and peace. He pointed out that the wounded are living witnesses to unforgettable heroism and a wound that speaks volumes about a history of patience and steadfastness.
He emphasized the importance of instilling the values of patriotism and true loyalty to the homeland in the souls of students, in recognition of those who sacrificed their blood in the fields of honor and against terrorist operations.
He prayed for a speedy recovery for every wounded person and that God protect Iraq and its heroes from all harm.
Iraqi Wounded Day falls on June 26th of each year.
