The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces that it has initiated official legal proceedings against two satellite channels that were involved in defaming Iraqi higher education institutions by deliberately promoting inaccurate media material that directly harms the reputation of national universities and lacks professional foundations and reference points.
In this context, the Ministry reiterates its keenness and commitment to protect the status of Iraqi higher education and support the efforts of its academic institutions in international scientific forums, and warns against promoting inaccurate or undocumented contents, especially those issued at times that target the status of Iraqi universities that have deservedly won international accreditation from internationally recognized accreditation bodies and attracted more than three thousand international students from forty-seven nationalities.
