In an exceptional plan for postgraduate studies. The Minister of Education directs the treatment of vacant seats and announces the admission of nearly 32 thousand students

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, directed to address the vacant seats within the postgraduate admission plan for the academic year 2026/2025, and to fulfill the possible measures to include applicants who were not accepted in the general competition according to the merit criteria.

The processing mechanism included the rotation of vacant seats for those covered by the provisions of the Martyrs’ Foundation laws exclusively among the seats allocated to this category and according to the highest differential rate.

These procedures allow universities to rotate seats from the general and privileged admission channels to the special expense channel to fill vacant seats, if any, for the period from 7/27/2025 to 7/31/2025, provided that the application is done through electronic applications from the applicants themselves.

Within the framework of the special treatments for critical cases, the treatment mechanism stipulated that five additional degrees will be granted to applicants according to the highest differential rate from Sunday 8/25/2025 until Thursday 8/7/2025, based on an announcement issued by universities on their official websites, with the adoption of electronic applications to the private expense channel exclusively.

In this context, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, announces the admission of approximately (32,000) students who succeeded in the competitive exam and included in the treatment procedures in a plan that is the largest compared to previous admission plans and indicates an exceptional absorption of a high percentage of applicants for postgraduate studies for the academic year 2025/2026.
