▪️ We faced deliberate political targeting in an attempt to tarnish the reputation of Iraqi universities through unaccredited indicators that have no connection to official international rankings.
▪️ Our universities achieve significant results in international rankings, and our scientific research is documented in accredited international databases.
▪️ The number of Iraqi scientific research indexed in international databases has reached approximately 185,000, with 60% of this academic output achieved during the current ministerial term.
▪️ The achievements made over the past three years are distinguished by their pioneering nature in the history of higher education in Iraq.
▪️ Among the most notable of these achievements is Iraq’s international recognition from the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).
▪️ Iraqi universities host more than 3,000 international students from over 40 nationalities within the Study in Iraq program.
▪️ We signed an agreement with the Chinese side to establish the first subcritical training reactor in Iraq.
▪️ We will soon lay the foundation stone for advanced scientific laboratories, the first of their kind in the Middle East.
▪️ We implemented an exceptional plan for graduate admissions based on the actual need of university institutions, and we accommodated the largest number of applicants.
▪️ Private universities compete with their public counterparts in the ministerial evaluation exam.
▪️ We launched a unique program to send gifted school students to prestigious international universities.
▪️ We will open the College of Excellence and the College of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad in early September. Those accepted into these colleges will receive a monthly salary and a privileged admission to graduate studies.
